Curiosities

Objects with histories others consider untraceable.

A discreet firm shows little and withholds much. What follows is a glimpse — never a catalogue.

A Note on Provenance

We authenticate history before we name a price.

Every object in our care carries a record — where it has been, whose hands have held it, and how it came to us. Where that record is incomplete, we complete it before we advise. Where it cannot be completed, we do not proceed.

This is slower than the trade prefers, and it is the whole of our reputation. A collector who buys from this house buys the history as well as the object.

Seeking something in particular?

If there is an object you hope to acquire — or one you wish to place in the right hands — we would be glad to hear of it, in confidence.
